Perspectives are the “why” people behave the way they do. It is their attitudes, values, ideas, and perceptions of the world.

This section contains statements describing some of the perspectives of sixteen values Hispanics advocate. Since values are personal and subjective, these statements were validated via a survey. Two hundred Hispanic people from twenty countries (Spanish America and Spain) responded the survey. Only statements that had 85% or higher of agreement are included here. However, we are aware that some of the statements may vary for some Hispanic subcultures. We recommend caution when using them to avoid stereotypes.
